Yep, I played there about 3 years ago now and it's a great course. Many actually consider the layout to be better than the Old Course.
There's all the usual fun to be had, deep pot bunkers, huge greens, hard fairways and usually strong winds. There's one par 3 which runs alongside the water and all down the left is OB, when we played there the wind was very hard from the left and so you had to aim out into the middle of the water to hit the green!
Have a great time.

played there the old and the jubillee..biggest piece of advice...play to the location of the pin not to the green. On the jubillee I hit 3 wood from 1 foot in front of the 150 yd marker...pin was 50yds on from the front of the green into a strong wind.

I play the new course every week. Right now the jubilee and old are mats only but new you are still playing of the grass with preferred lies in operation. There are several fairway areas sectioned of as GUR, but this doesnt really affect play. The new isnt quite as windy as the jubilee but you really do have to have a half-decent ability to keep the ball down, or have a naturally penetrating flight. I have no ability so I am the latter. Right now it is windy virtually everyday, you will be lucky to get a calm day. But playing links golf is all about the wind isnt it.
pm me if you have any questions.

Played the New in the Eden Throphy, Good track, Watch out for a Tricky Par 3 (green!!) followed by the stroke index 1 par 4!!! the wheels can come off there!!
I had a eagle on the 1st par 5 in my practice round! holed it from down the bank!!
Golf in St Andrews is the best!!
