What has been your best golfing holiday experience in your lifetime? Feel free to reminisce as much as you want, and photos would be a nice touch.
Try not to get too depressed when you realise you're stilln in the UK, probably in an office. :spinny:

For the past couple of years I have enetered a team event in Ireland called The East Coast Golf Classic.
A great individual and team event played over four courses over four days, all the courses being occupied for the four days, so you can imagine how many competitors there are.
We took 2 teams of 4 last year and came 1st and 2nd in the international class, oneof my team mates also won the best individual.
A great week with some pretty good golf played by all.
The courses we played on where
Laytown & Bettystown
Ardee
Dundalk
Seapoint
This year we are going to Newquay down south in June, can't wait.

Most memorable was on a trip to the Elgin area in the North of Scotland in April.
We played Forres which is a really super course and when we teed off it was overcast but ok. After teeing off and walking down to our shots it started snowing. We played our shots to the green and it was getting heavier. We decided to play the second hole which heads back to the clubhouse and go in.
After playing our tee shots on 2, it was almost blizzard conditions but we persevered. In the short time we had played, almost 2 inches of snow had fallen and lay on the ground. We then played our approach shots to the green which, while only a short distance away was almost invisible. As we walked to the green the snow went off and the sun came out - and how. It was absolutely roasting. Waterproofs & jumpers were off and by the time we got to the green just about all that snow had melted.
It stayed like that until about the 16th when it started getting colder & colder & a biting wind picked up. Jumpers etc back on we carried on to 18 when it driving sleet blew across the course. Luckily we were now finished and sitting in the clubhouse we watched the weather worsen.
Jumping back into the car to head back to Elgin the snow ploughs had been along the road and snow was piled about 3 feet high at the side of the road.
Never played in such varying conditions before or since
