I had a legend of a chicken who did that, his name was squeak and he'd been hatched in ducks nest. They don't like shoelaces. He did that to my friend and raced after him round the garden 3 times while I stood laughing my head off :biggrin:

Both my cousins, and my dads friend have chickens, and their chickens are the same. Does anyone know a reason for this?

I now have just one (bloomin' foxes) think they look like bugs so they try to eat them maybe?

kind of, geese, some ducks, 2 cats (although one keeps going AWOL and has been missing for nearly 2 months... again) not much land though, used to be a farm but we have a small strip of land that I use as my practice range :biggrin:
and we might be getting some new chickens when the last one pops its clogs!

its all elephant grass though so I just smash rubbish balls down there, use the lawn for my chipping although my mate shanked one and nearly took out a window :( also get on chat!
