Disappointingly, I'm not. :frown: Dad has completely lost interest, so that means no golf on holiday for Dave this year.
Has anyone else got more positive news? Are you booked up already or just in the planning stage?
Anyone going anywhere exciting?

Wife wants me and her to go to Jockland for some golf around April, so I guess that means we are going. Frankly I'd rather stay at home and pull my toenails out with a pair of pliers.

...is that because you dont want to come to our fine country to play the game or is it the thought of playing with the other half that spooks you ?

we're going to Rimini on holiday in July (visiting her family/relatives) so might be able to get the odd round in if I'm lucky ...
in 6 years time (when I'm 50) we're moving out to Italy anyway and the Emilia region is where we're going to settle - some nice courses around there so it will be a fine way to see out my days to full retirement

Yep, off this coming Thursday for a week in Spain, stay in the lovely Fuengarolla, between Malaga and Marbella and will play 6 rounds at Lauro, the 2 Mijas tracks, La Cala North, Marbella G&CC and Santa Clara. 12 of us go and the hangovers can be quite spectacular!
Can someone please advise a 37 yr old with 3 kids how he goes about convincing his Psychologist wife that it's a good idea and that she should let me go without the divorce papers!!

Well I'm 41 with 3 kids and have been going on these trips for 6 years. My methodology:-
did all washing, sterilising and making up of baby feeds when they were young
never hesitated to babysit at the drop of a hat
supported my wife through college, now uni, she has her finals coming up
for last 4 years have done all washing and ironing for the 5 of us
I get my golf trip and the wife has a week away with her friends then we have a family holiday in the Summer
For previous 5 years I have had a second golf week in Portugal in May/June as well. However that is off the cards this year as I was unable to satisfactorily answer the question:-
how come your one off extra trip to Portugal has become a fixture?
My response of, I didn't want to let the guys down, wasn't seen in the most positive light:D

I'm due to fly to Orlando for 14days in October/November.
How do I do it?
I take the family.
Daughter plays a bit so mum doesn't mind too much.
Used to send them to Disney or Seaworld while I went off for a game.
Works a treat, we are talking about going for 6\8 weeks after the daughter finishes her education.
Paying for them to swim with Dolphins at Discovery Cove gives me about 5 rounds of golf.
Jeez Mac,
After that workload you'll need a break just to recover from the ironing.
I don't see it happening this year somehow. She still see's business trips as holidays for me so after spending time in France (a chore really) and Egypt so far this year and she will not accept that next months 5 star stay in Tenerife is work.
I'm thinking I need to be content with a weekend knock for the moment.
(I don't tell her that I stop at the club maybe 3 times during the week as well)
