Having spent several months changing clubs i have finaly settled on these.
They arrived on Friday and i saved them for my first round today.(i didn't want to hit them off range mats for the first time)

I found them very consistant and forgiving.
It only took a couple of holes and i was clubbing my shots pin high almost every time.
Often clubs that are this forgiving lack, feel but this was not the case.
The ball felt nice on the club face and any miss-hits were detectable.
The thicker top line of the Callaways isn't to everyones taste but personaly i liked them at address.
They gave a feeling of a solid reliable club which inspired confidence.
The finish is very attractive to the eye and i like the classy design on the back.
The top line is matt finish to avoid glare at address.
These clubs are a little heavier than i am used to which slowed my swing and helped to generate a better tempo resulting in more consitant striking.
There is minimal offset which suits becauise i tend to draw the ball.
I opted for custom fit DG S300 shafts, standard length,2 degree upright and they took about 8 days to arrive from order.
The price was £499 for 3-sand and i have ordered a 2 iron at £61

I am tempted to rant about how much i love these clubs but realise that some clubs suit some people and not others.
If you are in the market for a nice solid consistant set of irons them give them a try.
Definately recomended.:)

I was using TM 360s wich i was very happy with.
These are quite similar in shape although with a thicker top line.
What have you got now?

Just picked up a set of x14 pro, to try out the callaway feel. Only played a couple of holes with them so far, but they feel a bit harsh. Maybe because my gamers are Cobra 11 forged, but will persevere for a while.

I switched from Titty 762s to the X18 Pro Series and haven't looked back. I'm not a fan of thick toplines but these didn't bother me. They are easy to hit and produce good distance and trajectory.

I far prefer them to the 762s. Just to appease Creo though, I previously had Titleist 962s and thought they were better irons than the 762s and regretted the switch.

Another strong recommendation from me.

Yep - I bought it separately from Ebay and got it reshafted and regripped to match.

I've also got a SW and 2i.

Another recommendation from me on these.

I got fitted at the Belfry nearly 2 years ago, and had them delivered in January 2005.

They replaced my Titleist 990's

They've radically inproved my ball flight, now have a lovely medium-high trajectory which just stops dead on the greens.

Also, they're comfortably 10 yards longer than the Titleist and I can still work the ball either way with them.

I opted to replace the 3 iron with a Heavenwood though. It's now my favourite club

Should these clubs have a serial number on them somewhere?
Can't find one.

Hi
I think that they should have a laser etched seriel number marked on the hosel of the 8 iron. There was one on the set of x-18's that I had (although they weren't the Pro version)

They are brand new from the shop.

Like has been said before, the Serial Number is laser etched into the hosel of the 8 iron (not the shaft).

Mine are the Pro-Series

I have spoken to Callaway and custom fit clubs don't have a serial number.:)

Mine we're custom fit at the Belfry and then ordered direct from Callaway at Caarlsbad.

Ne'er mind. There a quality club regardless of whether or not they have a serial number.:)

Very consistant on yardages.
