Not really, its not healthy to be under 10st and over 6ft is it?
However, I will be joining the Fit/Fat club soon, in my effort to become a toned powerhouse by the summer. At the moment, I'm neither super toned/muscular, or overweight.

In for a penny, in for a pound. I'm on a mission anyway, so might as well make this my first goal.

I've had a few beers AND whiskies so I'm going to commit. I saw this thread earlier in the day. I know I should do it. I'm going to weigh myself now....back in a minute....right, I'm in at 80.8 kg which is .....12.72 stone according to onlineconversion.com so I need to get to 10.72 stone (that was done without reference to any aid.....so I can't be that far gone!)
so, I need to get to 80.8 times 10.72 divided by 12.72 which is (sorry need to calculate that ) 68.09 (no effing way!!!).
Or is that crazy!???

Fieldsy has the only 'reason' to lose weight! Anything else can be dangerous!
And remember Monty's downturn when he slimmed?

Same could be said of other Pros, while Darren Clarke's game improved somewhat when he lost the weight. John Daly's suffered, until he went back up to 17st, but look at him now unfortunately.

Already started a weight loss regime - in the first week I lost a whopping 1 pound! I get weighed again tomorrow so I'll see if I've lost anymore then, although after this weekend (a couple of good meals and too much red wine) I will probably have put weight on. :(
Oh well, back to the gym!

Well I'm going to try and gain 2 stone this year, too small at 11 stone and 6''2. Maybe I'll gain a bit of muscle but I want to get into the 1sts rugby next and cement my position there.

Gaining two stone is all very well, but make sure it's muscle mass and not just fat.

I always thought it was the other way around. I still have the golf academy show off the Golf Channel where he said that since he lost the weight his game had improved. He was interview with Butch Harmon who was coaching him at that time. Maybe that was just said for the program. Wouldn't have looked good for Harmon if he said he'd been struggling with is timing, or maybe thats why he was being coached by Butch.

Ok, so I'm just back from the gym and I'm a little bit peeved, absolutley no weight loss whatsoever! This is after four sessions in the gym last week and, while not exactly starving myself, watching what I've been eating fairly closely.:mad::mad:
On the plus side I've not put any weight on though.

Has this affected your swing?
My shape has changed, and so has the shape of my swing. So I get out of sync a little. My hips and body are turning faster, which knocks my timing out.

In theory yes, but that doesn't make me feel any better! :D Ideally I would like to come down 2 stones (I'm ahem 15 stone at the min) so I hoped that I'd see some weight come off this week.

I'm 5'11" so I can just about carry the weight but I'm definately moving towards fattydom.
I'm in a similar situation Headcoverz. Similar hight and weight and also went to the gym 4times last week. Very strange
Not looking to loose 2 stone though, i'd only get the neds of glasgow bothering me whereas being a bit chunkier they steer clear.
My theory is that my body is currently in shock that it is being forced to exercise and once it gets over that intitial shock i'll start loosing a bit of weight. who knows, but i feel better for going

It's true that nobody really wants to start a fight with me! Although I'm more a lover not a fighter :D:D.
I'll keep going to the gym this week and measure my weight again next Tuesday to see if it makes any difference. I'd like to think that I too would feel better for it but I seem to have a bit of a head cold at the moment.:(
