------------------------------------------------------------------------

You may be able to tell that im pretty anal about my clubs and equipment. All are tinkered with frequently to keep in tip-top condition, and most have some custom paint infill, finish etc as you may be able to see.All the work done by myself with alot of help on specs etc by Mark at Custom Golf Studio (Niceshot here).Below is a pic of the Satin finish on my irons:

http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg276/sevenfourate/Irons-Satinfinish.jpg

I have really small grips for a big guy,and stretch out .580 Ribbed Golf Pride Tour Velvets approx 1" to get the thinner size, and less tapered feel from the top that i prefer:

Ive been using TaylorMade TP Red golf balls since soon after they came out.I mark my ball with three green dots and a slash arranged into a Shamrock type pattern, and always use balls only numbered 3,2 and 1,and in that order.A habit i got into as a Pro so i always know what number i have in play, what number a provisional ball will be etc etc

Lush setup Syer, and I'm really happy to have a fellow T60 user on the forum! Nothing can displace mine, I loves it!

That FBR Open tag wouldn't have anything to do with a wee trip to Pheonix at the courtesy of a well known energy drink would it?

Thinking about it,to be honest Dave the only reason i carry a driver is for the extra forgiveness over the T60 - because it sure as heck doesn't go an awful lot further ! The T60 is possibly the most remarkable club i have ever used..............

Yea,yea - the tag is from my Arizona trip, and was given to all us competitors at TPC Scottsdale. Not sure if all visitors get one or if it was a "special" for us Red-bull'ers but it was just another of the nice touches we got all week.

Guy's check the white paintfil on the Irons, they have a wash after every round and a little grind from time to time.............
You will do well to see the same putter in the bag for anything longer then a few weeks.........:rolleyesw:

3,000 plus trades on the bay and he tells me his wife is the dealer ........;-)

Why do I feel a reply about my DRIVERS..........coming on..............lol

Just a quick update of clubs for the new season.I may appear a "ho" but truthfully i like club i have a little "history" with:

New Driver: Titleist D2 with UST V2 65X.Playing 44.75" @ D2 swingweight.
Exactly the same as my last driver - except for 8.5 not 9.5 deg !

New Wedges: Vokey 54/10 + 58/08.Well,again.....exactly the same as the
last set - i just wanted some fresh grooves for the new
season.

New putter: (No laughing).Odyssey 2Ball SRT.You've all seen one before - Its
big,its ugly, and at the moment its working ! Trying it at 34"
at the moment......

****Im going to take in to work this week (Im an Engineer allegedly) and
make some custom weights to go in the two ports you can see in the
picture below.Need to get the weight up by about 20g minimum......

New bag: Heard a few good reports about Ogio - and so far this ones all
good.Hoping to carry a bit more this year.Well, till the 2008
2008 "Masters" Tour bag comes out at least :D

Syer should be thrown out of the mods for posting golf porn:D.

I am so jealous of how the woods in particular look....I couldn't maintain that for a single round.:(

Im BACK ! Going to play more when i want - not when im asked to and agree, but dont really want to.Trouble with being a kind hearted soul ;) Trying to drop a few responsibilities i hold within our club too.Need to clear this easily cluttered brain of mine...........

Few bits and pieces new for me,but after a mammoth bout of putter-swapping and untold short-shafted clubs all homing in on my front door from far-flung corners of the globe,im really hoping im finally settled on the flat-stick front

I had a 2-Ball SRT a while back and actually putted ok with it.But i really thought i wanted/needed a centre shaft putter, and i also had a few issues with regulaly being able to set-up square and couldnt quite get on with the alignment.I actually sold it to a member on here and Royal Mail managed to lose it :o So Mr Postman,if your listening i hope your putting stroke resembles an arthritic octopus on acid, and the yips afflict you wherever you play you thieving scum.............

Rant over - Moving on :)

So the natual progression was an Odyssey 2-Ball SRT lined, and i was really fortunate in that a friend of mine in the USA has managed to get me an extremely rare belly length version - with a heavier head weight - which i have cut down to 34",bent the lie to 68.5 degees to suit, and given it 5 degrees of loft. The loft helps at my home club where our greens can be a wee bit slow, and are also extremely lush.Ive also got addicted to these older style Odyssey rubber grips.Bit fatter than standard and just an orgasmic shape for me

Had a bit of a whack with it during the week, and me and "it" managed 27 putts yesterday, being the first time we been out together in a comp :twitcy:

Fingers crossed...........

Ive never professed to being the sharpest tool in the box,but after 20 years playing you'd think id realise that too !!

I want them Callaways

Cheers.

I love them to bits.Easy on the eye, easy on the swing when your not quite "on-song" and just a of good all-round set of sticks.Having had X-16 Pro Series for 5 years before these and X12 P/S before those you kinda see my preference in irons

Thanks for the comment :)

Just one little update:

The Nike T60 3 wood is dead after 3 years plus in the bag.The thing just went too far for me and was too close in distance to my driver.I hadnt used it at my home course for 18 months or more,so i figured id got nothing to lose and would try a little more loft and get a 4 wood. After searching for quite a while i managed to find an immaculate original TaylorMade V-Steel 16.5 degree model which was the one i was really looking for :)

After a bit of a clean up to get to my anal standards, and a re-shaft Friday night, it was in the bag for the first time today.Funny thing was after two stonking drives on the Par 5's in the Scramble comp,we only had a hybrid in to both.So i still dont know what its like !!!!
