Ok i just wanted to know the reasons to why a shot would curve to the right and how to address each problem to try and correct it. As I have mentioned it before 9 out of 10 of my driver/wood shots will curve to the right - id really appreciate it if you could tell me the reasons a shot might curve and how to correct it.
OK I know youve not seen me play but if you could list all the possibles and how to correct it i would be very greatful - i might just find where im going wrong.
Cheers
Steve

Do you have a weak grip? try moving both hands around the grip a little, left hand clockwise & right hand Anti C/W

open clubface at point of impact
That's true but the point is what's causing it.
Steve, there's no point in taking our advice without seeing your swing - a Pro will be able to point out the cause be it your grip, stance, hips, shoulders, etc. etc.
If you compensate the wrong factor, you'll end up in a worse place.

Thanks Tin Pot,
Im glad you got the point of my question. In all honesty i thought someone would give me a reply like yours but i thought if i can get all the possibilities and try to work out which one/s im doing and try to correct them.

(plagarised - sorry i'm feeling lazy!)
The flight path of the ball in the horizontal plane can be described in two ways, the direction the ball starts off on and the direction the ball ends in.
The direction the ball starts off on, is determined by your swing path relative to target line.
out to in = starts left
in to in = starts straight
in to out = starts right
The direction the ball ends in is determined by the position of club face relative to target line.
open = ends right
square = ends straight
closed = ends left
This should help you figure out what you are doing.
Also helps to have somebody film your swing (not much chance of catching the impact on camera without being very lucky or some decent equipment) to see if your swing it out in etc.
But i'm starting lesson 1 of 10 tomorrow......

Fair enough; in my case by the time I got to the Pro I had closed the face too much to try to compensate and my swing was too steep and...everything else!
I opened the face again (slice got worse), rolled my wrists through (got better but more erratic), flattened the swing (worse again), realigned my stance and concentrated on clearing the left hip (sorted). :) :)
