All,

Seems there a bit of a recurring spat between golfmagic and moongolfer, with some pledging loyalty to one site, some t'other and some happy to post and read both (that last one will be me then.)

Well, lets have a bit of fun on a golf course (will post this on MG/GM also)

I suggest a friendly competion and i'll put the trophy up.....

Heres the idea:

12 golfers from each site to represent their chosen site. (age sex, colour, creed, religious faith (if any) sexual orientation, birthstone, favourite colour, matters not a jot!)

36 holes on a central(ish) , (to England) course - in one day.

Morning - greensomes.

Afternoon - singles.

All off 3/4 the difference

Will post this on GM as well and see if can draw enough interest - given the fading daylight now, I propose early part of next season

Any takers?

MisterS3 EDIT: List of possibles

All the events on here are open to anyone - not just MG members. So if people want to come along and play at one of the organised events they are welcome.

Highlighted by the fact that the MG Scotland champs isn't an member of MG!! :D

Plus i could technically play for both sides (behave!!) :D

Just a quick note: Please remember Rule 2

This as a genuine attempt to organise a game. Not an excuse for trolling / flaming etc.

Might make sense to co-ordinate this with one of the Soft Southy events??? 3PW?? I'll be back to go one better :D

Eh?

Looks like the (great ;)) courses we have picked for next year will be full on allocation and last minute drop outs would go to MG people not GM.

Looks like this event needs to be separate from the rest if there is one down south.

Seems like they are mentioning Staverton which has been played to death.......

I'll hopefully be able to make the MG Open if its easy to get to but doubt I could do another one up north as well as sorting out the 4 Masters ones down here...

So I'll leave it up to TP to represent our club in the inter forum game:o

Comedy! We had 4 in Scotland last year and this year and 4 of us made FofA which is a good drive!!

Plenty more will make one in the Manchester / Leeds areas. And its still closer to London than FofA is to Glasgow.

I'm not up for this AT ALL. I'll quite happily play anyone but I'm not gonna be part of any us versus them games. If people from GM want to join MG and be part of our Masters/Open events, all well and good, the more the merrier, and all the other applicable cliches......but judging by responses on both forums (other than my own which were not meant to be forum v forum, just aimed at certain individuals who had p*ssed me off) there's too much scope for bad feelings to break out again.

I disagree. It's only a game of golf. And the responses from certain individuals are purely that and intended to stir things up. Ignore them. They won't turn up anyway. Enjoy the golf regardless.

What was the question?

If its about offering to play for GM - I'm guilty. (i think this is where i say "sue me" - but i have no idea why you would want to?!)

But i don't get why you would be disappointed? Its only a bit of fun? No need to take things so seriously. Now if it was a Scotland V England Ryder cup style match. Then yes...i'd go kill myself
