These are the two options. Click on the link and makes your choice. I'll do it as a public poll.
Obviously its up the individual where they want to stay, but part of the fun will obviously be meeting up the night before (i think)

And there is no requirement to play in the warm up at Southerness (http://www.moongolfer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6967)

Just in case anyone is a bit cash strapped or hotel places are hard to come by there are several cheap guest houses in Stranraer. I have stayed at the Lakeview (http://www.lakeviewguesthouse.co.uk/) several times and found it to be very comfortable.

I've booked 2 singles at the Lakeview for myself & Cliche, they have one twin left, £25 pp B 'n B.

1.5 miles from the golf course.

Just had a look at the route planner
3hrs 7min Southport - Southerness golf club
1hr 50min Southerness - Stranraer
4hrs 1min Stranraer golf club - Southport
438 mile trip!!!!
Stranraer is far away from everywhere.
