Hi All

Custom Golf Studio are organising a Trackman Long drive contest on Saturday 3rd Nov in order to:

- Raise some money for the Golf Foundation;
- Give people the opportunity to get some quality launch monitor data
- Raise our profile a bit.

The idea behind the event is that we basically have a launch monitor day using the trackman launch system and integrated into that a long drive contest to add some fun.

The basic format would be people would pay £10 and get 10 shots at the longest drive with 20% going to the winner and the remaining 80% going to the Golf foundation.

Each person will receive a full Trackman report (emailed) of all the shots they hit which will include not only the ball information but also the clubhead information.

The event will be at Custom Golf Studio which is based just south of Cambridge.

If people are would like to attend then please PM me and I will create a list in this thread.

If people have any questions or ideas then please let me know.

Where is Shepreth?

Turn left at the end of the earth.

Just south of Cambridge, use the +/- of the left hand side to get a wider view if that helps

THanks for the link.

Hmm, straight up the M11 could be doable.

..Not that my 180 yard carry will win anything other than derision :)

If people want to add extra contests for a nominal fee say £2 (50%charity/ 50% winner) then i am happy to administrate it, what would probably be more benefical is going for the most accurate rather than people trying to smash the living daylights out of it.

I'd agree with that...some long drive on a straight line contests etc..penalties for missing fairways extra 25p to charity etc...

Okay easy for me to suggest since won't be there!! :D

But this is a state of the art trackman.....i'd personally want to get something out of the experience........otherwise you could just go to Urban Golf etc.

Nope, swingspeed suits - still reeling with how you got me for distance with 10 mph swingspeed less on your last monitor because I launch at 10 and you are at 15 :eekw:

I have now managed to increase my carry by 20 yards on average, plus have managed to split 4 proV1x balls with the power of the Nak drivers, and this with only a 105 SS

I will get a date up ASAP

Guys

Let me give Mark a plug here. I have spent 3 hours with him trying all sorts of different combinations even before he had trackman and it is a great set up. I was sufficiently impressed that I was happy to pay more than the standard consultation fee Mark asked for because I felt I got so much out of it. If you have not been on a quality launch monitor recently then take the opportunity to get some data for a ridiculously low price from a quality set up and find out firsthand if you are either achieving close to your optimum potential or to coin the much used phrase 'leaving yards on the table' You may have a really cheap set up that works well for you and for £10 you find out that buying that new super expensive shaft would do nothing for your performance.

Big props to Mark for organising this, just a shame I can't make the day.
