Provocative title for what I hope will prove a worthwhile if rather dull thread!

I was in the chatroom before discussing lunch with the old guys and departed saying I was off for lunch. Then had a cooking brainwave and came up with:

Pitta bread - toasted
Chicken - nice carved pieces
Tomato - nice vine ones
Cucumber - fresh
sweetcorn - tinned(!)
Olive Oil - I'm not an expert

Throw the lot together in a microwave for 10 seconds, add a touch of yoghurt dressing and you have the finest snack known to man. It's a 10 out of 10 culinary delight every time. It can easily be varied with Tuna or Ham etc (or even just salad if you're a girl). My one golden tip is don't try cutting open the Pitta before you've toasted it - it's much easier afterwards.

I work from a home office a day or two a week so it's easy to experiment. Does anyone else have any lunchtime delights to share? And so those in offices don't feel left out, there's plenty or room for good shop sandwich suggestions.

Over to you....

today was smoked haddock chowder, with multi-seed bread, followed by fruit salad. Not very exciting but tasty enough

I get whatever the residents are having...although i can request anything of course...but its good way to keep my eye on the food. Yeh right :)
Got two excellent chefs so food at work is always good. I just don't partake (or try not to) in the daily 'home baking'. Donuts today mmmmmmm Donuts.

What was lunch?...chicken chassuer, mash, runner beans, and veg.

Friday is my favourite - home breadcrumbed fish and chips :D
