Was in the shop today and was thinking about picking up some NXTs to try out. Noticed that they had the new range out of Tour and Extreme ones. Anyone had chance to try them out yet, and if so, are they any different to the previous models?

delayed response - maybe or pro shop was late getting these in or something ?

anyway , now used the new NXT Tour ball for the past 4 rounds and like it a lot

according to the Titleist blurb it's aimed at average to highly skilled golfers  - well that's me (average {9 h'cap} - not highly) - as I don't hit the ball hard enough I've never felt I've got the best benefits out of playing something like a ProV1 and the characteristics it offers so the NXT Tour is the next obvious choice

in comparison to the previous NXT Tour it is (for me) a touch longer from the driver , soft enough feeling from the irons , spins more than enough to check in full & half wedge shots to the greens , lovely control on chip shots , nice feel off the putter (doesn't race off fast like a hard 2 piece ball) -- it's certainly an 'overall' softer feeling ball than the previous model but still may feel a little too 'clicky' for some if using say forged irons .... ?

£24/dozen - reasonable enough price IMO

more than good enough ball that offers more than sufficient enough control for my game and does seem to be an improvement on the previous model
