I look after the important stuff (like the golf clubs) and Mrs Mudweasel looks after the house.... so no, the bathroom isn't as clean as the clubs!

Shame they polished up so well - it means you can see my ugly mug!

I've got the 65g version in mine, not the 75g and so far, I'm really liking it.

I normally opt for a Diamana 63g as my driver shaft of choice and was all set to whack one of those in the SQ, but thought it only fair to give the RE*AX a go... and I'm glad I did. All it's done so far is hit fairways and give me the ballflight I'm after, so at the moment, there's nothing not to like (apart from it doesn't look as tarty as the ion Diamanas!)

If it starts playing up, then I'll just drop a Diamana in there...

Whats your weight set up?Going from heel-to: 14-4-1-12 (it's shortened to 44.75" so I needed to add a few grams to retain the swingweight)

Not seen that setup before... that for a high draw.?

Mines neutral with two 8's at the back

* I nearly bought the X Tours but went for R7 TP's *

Just noticed the 2 iron aswell :eek::eek:

To be honest, I'm not a great believer that shifting the weights makes THAT much difference anyway - a bit maybe, but not much. I think that playing about with the weights has a bigger impact of feel/sound and obviously swingweight rather than drastically altering ballflight. If I want to hit a draw, I'll set up for a draw (probably hook the crap out of it mind, but you know what I mean!)

A mate of mine has just got the R7 TPs (replacing the X-Forged) and he loves them. I think they look good from address but they're a touch bigger than the X-Forged and I'm still coming to terms playing something that big, after years with various Mizuno MP irons.

The 2-iron is really like a comfort blanket - when I really need to hit a fairway, that's the club I'll go to. At my home course (West Herts) there are 5-7 holes where a 2-iron is a good option off the tee... on other courses, I'd be more inclined to go with the MD, as it's maybe a touch m,ore helpful off the deck (not that the 2-iron is too hard, but it's maybe not so versatile)

I found the X tours less forgiving on mishits than the R7 TP's.

They are a sweet club though. They have a lot thinner top line....

I see you are a Hertforshire lad....fancy showing us how to play at Camberley?! :laugh:

I would love to have joined up with you guys, but I'm off to the States on the 4th Sept and I've just got this feeling that Mrs M would perform an operation on me that would have me playing off the red tees if I suggested playing golf the day before... so I'm going to have to give it a miss and spend the day looking at the inside of a suitcase, with that puzzled 'how the fcuk is all that gonna fit in there' kind of look on my face!

Will definitely be up for another one though... or if any MG'ers ever want a game at West Herts, I'm sure we could sort something out.
