Very nice bag of 15 clubs. Thought you were only allowed 14, or does one club get left out depending on how you're playing?

Depends on what course im playing, if there are a lot of long par 5s i will keep in the 4 wood and lose the 3 iron. Otherwise the MD goes far enough never keen on going for greens 230+ out.

I managed to pick some of the bags up for a steal, so i thought why not.

Playing to a 13 at the moment should be coming down soon, with all the

rain i decided to get some more lesons, so the usual 1 step back 2 forward

i hope. Looking to be 10 at the end of the year. Picked up a new driver and

5 wood to play with off Mike. The early signs are good. Pics to follow.

Why are you all foaming at the mouth over Mr. Morgan's equipment ?

IMHO, only 2 questions need to be asked.

1. Can you play golf.

2. Will you be good company during the round (and in the bar. ;) )

I now await the usual torrent of outrage from the happy clappers.

no. Having 5 tour bags is borderline homosexual, its just a male form of expressing the desire to own lots of handbags

do you have a matching pair of shoes for each bag mr Morgan?;)

No i cant play but giving it a good go, but not doing to bad for a beginner, i think i am good company (no complaints yet) and anything to do with bars im sorted.

On another note i picked up the bags for pennies and was going to sell them on but never bothered. And no i dont have the shoes to match sorry.

Strange comment, given that you're posting in an equipment based forum :p

Surely, there is more to golf than simply being able to play golf and being good company during the round and in the bar afterwards, as you suggested... what about actually enjoying it? And if having a collection of clubs and (hand)bags that would put most peoples to shame gives Ian some enjoyment (and does no harm to others), where's the need to criticise?

Just a thought...

Sorry, but for me, and I suspect most if not all recreational golfers who strive to play this game at a certain level of competence, that is a ridiculous statement.

Hi Wilo i picked the bags up on ebay, you have to look quite a bit though. It tends to be the same sellers though and they email when they get anything in new.

I cant belive the bags have caused such heated debate. The way i look at it is they all nearly cost less than a new wedge each. I like to collect golf stuff for my office. And my friends dont mind as they get my hand me downs so every ones a winner.

Ps i will post pics of the new gear later.

Happy Golfing:p

I love the look of those bags, especially as I'm a Mizuno man. Let me know if you ever want to part company with one of them...

How did the 5 wood I sold you work out? Any good?

Hope the bar is not keeping you too busy-seems like you've got your hdcp cut since last year so you must be getting some time for golf.

Ignore the negative comments and please keep posting pictures of your nice clubs.

While I love playing golf and scoring well, I also get enjoyment from trying new equipment etc.

Muddy, do you seek to be offended / take umbrage with all posts ? Lighten up and be aware that many posts, whilst being flippant on the outside, contain a serious opinion on the inside. Seek and ye shall find. :)

Who said I was offended, or took umbrage?

I do disagree with what you said, as I do believe that enjoyment of the game can be had on many different levels and not just how well you play and socialise, but just because I don't subscrie to your view doesn't mean that I am shallow enough to be offended by it (although I don't understand the "all posts" comment) ;)

I would agree that the better a player someone is, the more emphasis they would probably put on the 'how well I can play' part of it... and I myself would certainly not enjoy constantly hacking it around - but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case for everyone else... does it? If a mid-high h'cap gets enjoyment out of buying/using something that others might deem to be excessive, where's the harm? Sure, it might not be helping his/her game improve, but as long as it's not harming anyone else's the I say good luck to them...

And the irony of not being into the equipment side of things, whilst browsing and posting in a WITB thread did make me chuckle somewhat...!!!

That's all I was trying to say... if I've come across as being offended etc, then I apologise, as that wasn't my intention :p

Irony makes the world go round. A pinch of cynicism, a touch of arrogance and a smidgin of cheekiness never did anyone any harm either.

Please don't apologise - I am virtually unoffendable. :D

Hi James was thinking about that 5 wood the other day as i wanted to re-shaft a 3 wood and couldn't find it then relised my mate borrowed it about 2 days after i bought it. So it is enroute back to me.

Handicap is getting there got down to 11ish earlier in the season but it was on a home made swing so to take it to single digits next year it was time for an overhaul.

The bars are flat out a the moment so keeping very busy but still getting in 3-4 rounds in a week early morning. Although i will be doing a restaurant in Jan so golf will be hold in a few months.

I picked them up from individuals on BSG, GWX and a couple off ebay over the last 18 months. You have to be careful though, as there are a lot of fakes that are almost impossible to spot. Mizuno bags normally have a emblem on the bottom.
