On that sort of budget, the MD's every time.

Well, I'm currently playing with a set of Slazenger XTC's so anything (within reason) would be an improvement I reckon.

Yes the MD set for sure. Progen are now in administration. MD's stuff is very good for the price & this seller seems to shift a lot of their kit.

I would have my doubts as to whether the Prognes would be an improvement. Possibly the same standard.

I'd buy the progen ones just for the fun of trying to put them together! In fact i might just do that! :)
But the MD's are definitely the one to go for. I think they do a forged set for £150. Obviously this is almost double what you've posted and i dont' know your handicap and ball striking etc. But worth considering if you are a leftie. Otherwise i'd suggest SMT's :)

Now, there's the rub. I don't have a handicap but would probably play to something between 18 to 20. As for ball striking, I currently hit a high ball, but this may be the clubs.
I've checked out Midas Golf and they don't appear to do left handed clubs but I've fired off a question to see what reply I get.
Thanks for the info so far, it's a definite insight.

SMT - dont currently cater for lefties. But Mike Tait (owner) did mention some plans for lefty stuff, but not sure what.
CTO, smt do not do the 303's for a leftie shame for you, but MD suppose to be really good for the money and like MisterS3 point out they do a forged set for around the £150 mark.

Just had a look at the MD site and can only find a set of forged that retail for approx £299. Can you remember the model of the set you think might sell for £150?

I would imagine they would be quite hard to hit though. Might be better with the Forged OS.
