Every year for the last 5 years I have been playing in the IOF (Independent Order of Foresters) annual charity golf day at Welshpool GC. For £27 you get to play a course which is just nuts in my opinion. You have to play it to believe it! Take a look. Some amazing views.

The price includes a meal at the end of the round. Its a good day out and all for good causes.

So here is your chance to meet up with your fellow MG'ers again. If you are interested, then let me know and I can get the organisers to send you forms to enter.

Some more info on the event - come on guys another chance to meet up with fellow mooners!

This year we celebrate the 34th Annual Charity Tournament. For the past thirty-three years, the officers and members of Welshpool Golf Club have very warmly welcomed us and donated the use of one of the most scenic and most challenging courses in the British Isles. During this time many thousands of pounds has been raised in support of charities such as the Guide Dogs for the Blind, Cheshire Homes, Macmillan Nurses, Spina Bifida research, R.N.L.I., the Alzheimer’s Society and this year the proceeds will be for the Association of Children’s Hospices. This would not have been possible without the generous support of the Golf Club and its membership together with many of you that have entered year after year. We actually have some members who have attended each year since the competition was started.

The total entry including a meal is only £25.00 and whilst the meal is optional, to be taken at any time to suit yourself, the combined meal and entry cost for visitors is still less than the normal weekend Green Fee.
