Well not really a review, more of a 100 ball comparison on a wet day .

TM R7 TP irons.
Initial impressions, crap, don't like the look of them and have no respect for TM. Ball flight was fine but appeared to drop shorter than all of the others tested. Feel off the face wasn't great and to be honest, they just felt a bit cheap to me

Mizuno MX 25's.
Initial impression s that they look nice, not too much offset.
Ball flight good and about 1 club longer than the TM''s. The feel off the face was nice and it was nicely forgiving on off centre hits.

Mizuno MP 60's.
They look good though I do think that they're an attempt to gain extra sales on the back of the MP32's cut muscle design. I belive that they replaced the MP30's which to me despite looking nice, felt quite hard off the face and not too easy to flight right.
Anyway, similar in distance to the MX25's. I don't think they felt any better off the face but did drop considerably shorter than the MX 25's on off centre hits.

Ping S58's
Initial impressions, I like these, I like these a lot.
Though a small head by todays standards, they weren't too hard to hit. I think that the weight in these suited me more as I could feel the head much better than any of the others. It's a blade and so you can't be careless with it but I found it to be comfortably the longest of the group and the feel on strike was lovely. Certainly better that the infamous Mizuno feeling.

If I had to pick,,,,,,,well I couldn't as I would be in 2 minds, the Ping S58's were lovely and not overly hard to use. The Mizuno MX25's were very nice and they would have the forgiveness needed for a bad day at the course.
