As I am in a great mood today I have decided to offer you a great deal on one of the hottest shafts at the moment...no no no, not your Oziks but the hottest iron shaft that is getting everyone talking at the moment...and to save you searching take a look at the KBS news: http://www.kbshafts.com/news.php

You are going to love the price on this and I will type it very slowly so there can be no mistake....£199 including *NEW* Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips. Yep, £199, this is not a typo - £199 is the price when you mention Rockgolfer. That works out at a touch over £24 per iron club - and get this - if I can reuse your existing grips you will get it even cheaper ! £185...

So what are the conditions? Well to do it this cheap it has to be cash or cheque only - and that's the only condition ! Oh, and I will adjust the loft and lie at the same time if you like...how much? Free - well not free but certainly no extra charge !!! So, for £199 or £185 you also get a free (yes yes, no extra charge!!!) loft/lie adjustment. And you needn't worry about cleaning the clubs either as I will do that too ! All you need to do is pay the postage - or drop them off and collect them - you choose !

Last time: KBS Tour reshaft for £199

Being the Neanderthal that I am Jon can you give a comparison?

ie how do these play, similar to anything else out there at the moment?

High/mid/low launching?

And the really silly one,,, stifness! Do they come in reg/stiff or is it similar to rifle in the 5/ 5.5/ 6

General opinion really if you don't mind.

No problem at all Neil. So, I have put these in a lot of people's hands and the first comment is that they all absolutely love the feel of these at impact, that they love the balance, that they can really feel the head at all times throughout the swing and through impact, and that it just feels so unlike anything they have ever swung. So it truly scores well in the "feel" stakes. As for whether it is high launch or not it is going to depend a TON on the golfer's swing - but in general I would say that if you are comparing these against Black Golds, Nippons, and Dynamic Gold they (KBS) get up very quick. I think they are similar to the Project X in trajectory - but everyones mileage is going to vary on this one. A comment from a customer: "Hi Jon, you have got to play these shafts at least a couple of times! Not sure if it's the spine and FLO as well but the irons today were string straight and solid medium flight."

I have the black nickel KBS Tour in one of my wedge sets (which is pure vanity!) and I can honestly say that the feel is much much better and more consistent, the flight is true, no juddering at impact and a very good overall balance to the club.

Overall, are they very similar to anything else out there? Not in my opinion. I was skeptical about them at first as I thought "oh-oh, here comes an Ozik hype" but the more I install them and the feedback I get from each customer is convincing me that these are a good, well made, well designed shaft. Next year you will see these in the line-up of more manufacturers shafts, just chipping away at the TT DG market.

I just haven't had anyone say bad things about them.

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

No Jon, please don't tempt me. If only I could afford these. I have a KBS Tour shaft in an ex-demo 695mb 6 iron, and I LOVE the feel of it, and would so dearly love to get a set done with these in them, but I just can't afford it at the moment. I also want to get one of my sets properly swingweighted, to see how they feel, as I think the swingweights through my sets are all over the place.

Another time maybe. :(

I can recommend these shafts too.

Got 'S' in the V-Muscles and they feel very good. Flight is similar to my CB201s (PX 5.5) but no harshness.

Like Col, I'm very tempted. The Rifle 6.0s in my 'spare' TM300s are actually a bit stiffer than that (hardstepped?), so would be an interesting comparison!
