After using my Progen Gun Metal 54° and 60° wedges for almost 2 years, I decided to upgrade my wedges. I managed to get a 52° and 58° Cleveland CG10 Satin for a bargain £75 for the pair.
The first thing I noticed with these wedges, apart from the different lofts to my previous set, was the weight of them, these are decidedly heavier than most of the wedges I've tried. I've found this to be great for around the greens and bunkers, because the added weight helps cut through the rough or be attacking in the sand.
The 52° is a gem from around 110-125 yards and the heavier head helps me accelerate through the ball and resist the urge to decelerrate through impact and push the ball, which was a bit of a problem with my previous set of wedges.
The 58° is great around the greens and I now actually enjoy being in greenside bunkers because they now become easy shots, anything outside 10 foot from a good lie now disappoints me, rather than thrilling me in the past :)
I'd recommend these wedges for anyone looking for new ones as these are excellent in all departments of the short game :)
