Well I've dabbled in the titleist cool aid. Always been sceptical of titleist clubs. Then I picked up a spinmilled vokey for a bargain and it was good. Picked up my titleist bag from knotty and I was very, very impressed. Then I saw a 906f2 on ebay, have been trying out plenty of hybrids and fairways with little success. and pounced on this as it was dirt cheap.

First impressions
Its a stunning looking club, the finish on the crown is nothing short of fantastic, the alignment aid is great. It sits behind the ball very well, and despite it being more of a smaller players head its very confidence inducing for a hacker like myself. The grip feels good and the prolaunch red shaft completes the package, not too boardy and lightish, but not lacking feel. Also for all those, oh I don't like a closed face blah blah blah etc. (then slice it straight into the trees), its fine for you lot as it sits pretty straight.

Feel
Very good feeling club, you can definately feel when it ain't out of the middle, but it isn't a horrible, coma inducing sting like many other clubs. Out of the middle (yes, I know I actually connected with it once) its nothing short of fantastic, zips off the face and you know you've hit a goody.

Launch
Combined with the prolaunch red its a great stick launch wise. Off the tee I tend balloon woods, but this one gave a great penetrating flight that didn't stall in the wind and just kept going.

Distance and forgiveness
This club is superb distance wise for a 5 wood, I hit one 200 yards uphill with a cross wind yesterday dead straight. It gives pretty good forgiveness out of the toe or heel, but it doesn't cause big slices or hooks, you simply lose a bit of distance and a little fade occurs if that.

Really chuffed and surprised to find a titleist wood that I really like. Will be staying in the bag for a long time and hence the other clubs are going to the trades section.
