got my first handicap yesterday. 3 cards all off the whites. feel a bit bad because i know i can do a lot better, my best score was a 80 about 2 weeks ago.

with knocking +3 and worse down to +2 i thought i would be 21 at worse.

got my first comp on the 10th of may. hope to get it down pretty quick without being seen as a bandit.
what do you think?

all you can do is play the best that you can in as many competitions as you can :) doesn't matter about the bandit jibes.

23 is a good starting handicap too, I'm sure you'll get down pretty quickly.

Firstly many congrats - im sure we all feel we should be "better".....

But you've got your foot on the ladder now,and you should win a few comps until you find your level handicap wise.

GET AMONGST IT and good luck :)

Better to be too high than too low, gives you a bit fo a cushion and certainly gives you a very decent opportunity to win your first comp. You'll come down eventually, so don't dwell on it. Concentrate on playing your best, never mind what anyone else says.
